Meet Trustee Robert Perri
Rob continues to be honored to be one of the stewards of the Foundation’s mission — Encourage, Inspire, Enrich.
“Without a doubt, District 220 is one of the pillars of the community – and our mission enhances this key pillar,” Rob said. “Our goal is to deliver projects that create life-changing experiences for our District 220 students.”
Rob adds that the generous donors within the Barrington community make these projects possible. Projects such as the BHS-TV van, the 3D digital anatomy table and a future outdoor laboratory.
“It’s really hard to have a single favorite,” Rob said. “The best projects are yet to come, for example, we hope to raise funds for our Outdoor Science Lab.”
Having a passion for education, Rob joined the Foundation three years ago after being introduced to the Foundation by Alumni Liaison Don Thompson at a Barrington 7th grade tackle football game.
“A few weeks later, I was presented with the opportunity to advance the Foundation’s mission of investing in cutting-edge curriculum and enablers, and I could not turn it down,” Rob added.
Currently serving as vice co-chairperson of projects with Susan Laudick, Rob helps coordinate the Foundation’s Projects for Innovation and Enhancement (PIE) grants as well as the Helping Hands grants. Both grant programs offer district staff a one-time award for an effort that enhances learning opportunities.
